why do so many men speak to you like they’re giving a ted talk
I need a frame of reference here
go and find the nearest man who’s read one book and talk to him

On the point of relinquishing her hand, he gave it a quick twist. He had kissed the back of it before she knew what had happened.

I feel some Kaz Brekker vibes here.

Leo, if you had ever stolen a kiss from someone, how would you give it back?
a waitress could slit my throat and I’d still tip 15% i dont know how her day’s been yknow?
i hear your responses and i just wanna say obviously i usually tip at least 20 like im not an animal! but to be completely fair she did kill me
*but murdered or not i would still tip in cash
#reblog#tbh 20% is my starting tip point#if u cant afford to tip dont eat out
I’m so DONE with this BS, esp cause it’s such a brain-washed reasoning?!?!?!
Yes service employees absolutely deserve a pay high enough to live on, but can we take a sec to look at:
1) if you get pissed cause your only ‘pay’ e.g. in a restaurant is the tips and your reaction is to be angry about low tips then newsflash: you’re angry at the wrong people?!?!?!
you know there’s something called an ‘employer’ and (in most countries) there are regulations about minimum-wage!!!! (the definition of a ‘tip’ never was meant to be ‘the pay’)
and when your reality is that you practically deliver food to tables for free: then be angry at your supposed ‘employer’ …
2) it’s nice to know that capitalism and classicism is so well, that people don’t even bat an eye at the ‘if u can’t afford to tip don’t eat out’ wannabe-argument.
We try to educate people about the struggles with (systematic) poverty, but then go this route in the next post:
practically poor waiters going for poor customers’ throats, instead of going for the business owners that don’t pay them enough, like that’s the angle we’re going for?????So as someone working in customer service myself I have to say: fuck this ridic reasoning!!
YES the reality is we need tips to survive in this work-field atm, but if the anger/demand for change & better work-standards isn’t directed at businesses and government regulations - instead of that ‘evil’ customer - then what even are we doing???
Finally someone said that.

I have this bittersweet feeling after finishing Eliza and Her Monsters by Francesca Zappia, because overall it was a good book, with a decent plot and interesting characters who developed through the book, but WALLACE!!!
I hate him so much for his reaction after the big reveal. I mean, I get that he had every right to be angry at Eliza for not telling him about her secret even after he shared with her really sensitive personal stuff, but he had NO RIGHT to demand from her finishing the comic because he had hoped to get a gain from it. And he kept pushing and pushing, even though she repeatedly told him she can’t finish it right now. He offered her no comfort, no support just a lot of guilt. It pisses me off so much, because how can he hold her responsible for his life? How dare he to pressure her into finishing her work when her whole world coming apart? The audacity of that boy! If you want to be as famous as her or well off like her, create your own work instead of riding on her coattails.
But all he had to say is sorry and she forgave him and they run off into the sunset. Ugh.
Okay, I feel like this girl explained my feelings about Wallace much better than me (6:44).

I don’t mean to impose a personal favour on you guys, but I really would like to ask that everyone who follows me reblog this.
I don’t think I made it very clear but last month I was sexually assaulted by someone who I thought was my friend (I don’t want to talk about it don’t ask), and it’s… really fucked with my head.
Had I known this a month ago I would have been able to get away.
So, essentially, I’m really pleading with you to reblog this so everyone who follows you doesn’t get stuck in the same position I was with no way out.
I mean again I don’t want the point of this to be my sob story or whatever but if you could reblog this it would seriously mean a lot
and im asking to all of my followers who see this post in your dashboard to please press play to this video, you never know when this is gonna be useful, PLEASE DON’T IGNORE IT.

People talk a lot about how Harry Potter taught them about friendship and bravery and love overcoming evil etc and of course I think that’s very important but like…
Harry Potter also taught an entire generation of kids that the news media can’t always be trusted to tell the truth, that the government can often be corrupt or incompetent, that the legal system isn’t always right, that the people in power don’t always have your best interests at heart. That bad things sometimes happen to good people, that your heroes aren’t always as perfect as you think they are, that even those with the best intentions can be wrong, that everyone can make mistakes and that often in order to make things right it takes a lot of hard work and sacrifice.
…and I think in a way that’s every bit as important as the more positive messages.
